Case study
Data parsing
A web parsing project for a client: notary contacts collected from a public source and structured into a clean, ready-to-use Excel workbook - a separate sheet for every region of Ukraine.
Overview
The client needed an up-to-date contact base of notaries across Ukraine. I built a parser that collects the data from a public source and writes it into a single Excel workbook - clean, deduplicated and split into a separate sheet for every region, ready to use straight away.
What I did
- A Python parser that collects names, certificate numbers, addresses, phones and emails
- One Excel sheet per region (24 regions of Ukraine)
- Cleaning and deduplication so the workbook is ready to use
- A consistent column structure across every sheet
- Delivered as a single .xlsx file the client can open and filter
Result
A ready contact base the client received quickly and could put to work immediately - hours of manual copy-paste replaced by one structured file. The collaboration earned a top rating on Freelancehunt.
